SportsLine has released trade odds for which the NFL team could acquire Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz and the Arizona Cardinals are among the favorites.
That puts the Cardinals at +500, the fifth best odds.
The Buffalo Bills are the favorites at +200, followed by the Indianapolis Colts at +300 and the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks tied for third at +400 each.
SportsLine severance pay wrote of the Cardinals’ adjustment for Ertz: “In Arizona, Ertz could team up with receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and AJ Green to give Kyler Murray a scary group of pass-catching weapons.”

Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports wrote of Arizona’s chances of landing Ertz: âThe Cardinals have Maxx Williams as their No.1 tight end and could use an instant upgrade. For the team that has added many veterans this offseason, Ertz does the case.”
Four more teams are listed in SportsLine odds to acquire Ertz.
The Carolina Panthers come in at +700, the same odds for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Los Angeles Rams are +900 and the Washington football team is +1000.

Could the Cardinals trade for Zach Ertz?
The Eagles can save $ 8.5 million in cap space by releasing or trading Ertz on Tuesday after 1 p.m. Arizona time, and recent speculation has linked it as a possibility in Arizona.
Ertz’s wife Julie Ertz is from Mesa, Ariz., And some writers believe he would be a perfect fit for the Arizona offensive as an added threat to Murray.
Mike Kaye from NJ.com ranked the Cardinals among six potential destinations for Ertz on a commercial or free agency basis, should the tight end be released.
He wrote: âAs the Cardinals prepare to face Kyler Murray still on his rookie contract, Ertz would make a lot of sense as a receiving option in their spread attack. Ertz could team up with DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and AJ Green to create the best receiving foursome in the game. The Cardinals buy out former Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks, so a player-for-player trade could be positive for Howie Roseman, who will look to sell the comeback by trading Ertz.

Bob McManaman from the Republic of Arizona wrote this about Ertz and the Cardinals earlier this month:
âIt’s no secret that the Eagles are ready to part ways with veteran Zach Ertz, so sending Hicks back to Philadelphia in some type of package might be doable. Hicks could provide insurance for Eric Wilson and Ertz, who will have 31 in November, could be a reliable wide receiver in Kingsbury’s high-octane offense. Although he was limited last season due to a persistent ankle sprain, Ertz recorded averaged 81.5 receptions and 889 passing yards per year from 2014 to 2019 and caught 31 touchdowns during that time. In 2018, the three-time Pro performer caught the most passes through a tight end in one single season (116) and won first-team All-Pro honors. “
