â¢ A 22-year-old Aurora man has been charged with domestic violence and drug possession, both first-degree offenses, and a 19-year-old woman from Southington has been charged with first-degree assault after allegedly assaulting a woman. Another woman, the man allegedly grabbed her by the throat, during an altercation at a home on Route 303 on May 18. The man was reportedly found in possession of a prescription anxiety medication for which he did not have a prescription. The man and woman were arraigned in Portage County Municipal Court in Ravenna on May 19 and released on personal bail, on condition that the woman’s bond had no contact with the other woman and an order of temporary protection issued against humans.
â¢ A 38-year-old man from Newton Falls has been charged with third degree disobeying a police order or signal and fourth degree burglary, as well as operating a vehicle under the water. ‘influence and blood alcohol levels banned, both first-degree offenses, and was cited for a taillight and license plate light violation after he allegedly fled a traffic stop on the Interstate 76 eastbound at high speed around 9:40 pm On May 18, failed to stop at two stop signs after exiting the freeway and attempting to evade arrest saying to the owner of a house on Whippoorwill Road in Diamond that he had been assaulted and had to use a phone to enter the house. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the man’s blood alcohol level was 0.141%, above the legal limit of 0.08%. The man was arraigned in Portage County Municipal Court in Ravenna on May 19 and sentenced to $ 35,000 bail, on the condition that he had no contact with the owner or the owner’s property.

â¢ Two homeless men, aged 18 and 22, were charged with fourth degree burglary after allegedly entering a home in Deer Meadow Boulevard without permission on May 18. The two men were arraigned in Portage County Municipal Court in Ravenna on May 19 and on a 10 percent $ 5,000 bond, provided they had no contact with the home and residents.
